Some very stunning work he did with the diorama and the modifications - his scratchbuilding is very impressive as well.

Unless there's been a serious review and re-cut of the Yamato, All I can say is thank the gods he wasn't going for a perfectly accurate Ten-ichi-go fitting - there's a Lot of discrepencies between the Tamiya Yamatos and most of the commonly accepted references out there today, notably the Kure model.
