Hello 007,

Well there are a number of ways, Super Glue [ I Use Zapp], Some people use 2 part resin glues, or the latest and using it, a very good product is called Gator Glue. This is a white glue like that used for wood or paper, but grabs quicker, but can be repositioned for a time, unlike with Cyano, which needs first time placement and cleans up with water. A little squeezed out at the time of placement can be manipulated to look like a weld bead.

have a look here and if you cannot find a supplier in your area, drop him an email and he is most helpful.

Yes mate CA was the term that I was trying to tell you, but ended up with super glue. Call it a senior moment:)

Just make sure that you get the placement right as it is hard to move it again, without loads of cleanup.

I would suggest squeezing a small pool of the glue onto a disposible object, tin foil, yoghurt pot lid and use a cocktail stick to put a small amount of glue onto the part.

The other useful option is to take a sewing needle, grind off the top of the eye where the thread would go, leaving an open 'U' shape and then stick the pointed end into an old wine cork. This will allow you to pickup a small amount of the glue and apply it with some precision. Use larger or small needles for different quantities of glue. To clean the needle, just run it through a lighter flame in an area with ventilation, then wipe off any residue with a piece of kitchen roll. You can buy large packets of assorted needles in the cheap shops that spring up in towns, the sort where they sell bargain goods.

Glad to help as ever,

John

What I have fround in applying the smallist phote etch or any small part for that matter is Future. It buys you time to set your part in the the right place and when it drys it holds down with no gap.
