Once again it is I 007, if you go onto the Tamiya company website and have a search, you will find they have produced a couple of video clips of the weathering sets in us. It may be worth doing a search on You Tube as well.

Have a happy Christmas and I look forward to seeing the Bismark, once it is completed, having been watching the divers visiting the ship, the other day on the History Channel.

    Hi James,
In my opinion that is a beautifully built model of a famous warship, which shows the care and attention that you have paid to the building, painting and presentation.
If I were you, personally I would leave it alone, as it looks superb and as it is, would be a shame to possibly not be satisfied, when you commit to adding weathering. I would suggest that you practice on some other models, as this one could happily stay as a great display piece.
I think you can be very proud of the outcome of your modelling skill.

Any way thanks for sharing her and I hope you have a very Happy Christmas and a bright New Year.

    Aye,

    John

    Default My new project

    Hi John
Thanks for the encouraging words, & I think I will go with you that I should practice more in weathering before trying anything .
By the way few days ago I started my new project the enterprise ( Big E ) , I already painted the bottom's hull but the color appeared to be a little bit glossy ( I used TS-39) I was thinking yesterday, should I repaint it after sanding the bottom & that will take long time ,or over paint it ,or leave it even if it looks a little bit glossy .

    Thanks any way .
    Happy new year

    Hi 007,

Rather than sanding back and risking damaging such a beautiful moulding, it would not be wrong to have a slightly satin sheen, or you could always buy some flat/matt varnish and adjust the finish later on.

I am jealous as the Big 'E' is a kit that I have wanted for years, but never had the disposible money, when I have seen it One day.

    Merry Christmas,

    John

You shouldn’t be jealous because I am going to keep you updated from time to time with the progress ,also I will be looking for your opinion in some problems I will face during the modelling ,so you will be kind of partner in this project .

I think that there are a couple of uploaded videos that would teach you how to handle and do this. And looking t the things that are made available, I don't think there is any reason why you should not be able to do so.

The posted ones are a goof mix of steps for newbies and for those who want to be better at their craft just like that.
