Default larger tip and needle for paasche millenium?

I am thinking about purchasing the largest size (#5) for 1/48 ac models and maybe larger scales, is it worth the price to have a larger needle and tip for more airbrush paint coverage on wings fuselage ect?

    Hi Mate,

I have always found the Medium and Fine sets are suitable for all scales up to 1/32nd.
Coverage is about control and light coats, where being able to spray more paint at a faster rate, risks covering fine detail, as it can be tempting to try and cover the space in less time. I own and use a Passch Millenium, as well as my Iwata and still find it a really well put together airbrush.

Those are my honest thoughts, others may have different views.

makes sense, did not want to spendabout $18.00 to find out, the med (#3?) seems to be fine if I increase paint flow enough, I am careful not to slop it on....thanks for your help and find your info quite reliable.
