    Default D'antin Pramac Ducati GP4

So, here is the start of the Ducati, my first non Japanese bike in my Moto GP collection.
Very exited about this one as the finished product promises to look stunning with the white Hibiscus flowers on the red paint scheme.

Also interesting is the fact that this is the only model in Tamiya's bike line up that has Dunlop tyres and Nissin brakes.

As usual, I will post as the build goes on.

    In the box:

Decal sheet (Nice silver foil bike numbers):

    Nice view of the clutch:

Here is the Steel truss type frame with primer coat (very different to the Japanese Delta box frame):

Have no progresses with any build or painting, but rather done some minor customizing.

Drilled some holes in main drive sprocket using a pin vice and .75mm drill bit:

Also cross drilled the rear brake disk for added realism using the pin vice again with a .5mm drill bit:

Using some 1200 Tamiya abrasive paper, the tyres now have a "raced look":

In my opinion, the best looking paddock stand out of all the 1/12 bikes
Some awesome aftermarket photo etched stands for the Ducati, but thought I would stick to the supplied one and paint the "Ducati Corse" logo myself.
Painted stand chrome silver then used a tooth pick to fill the grooves of the lettering with black and then used a kitchen towel to wipe off the excess (Still some minor touching up to do...not for the feint hearted )

Right, colour applied to the frame.
2 coats of Bright red (TS-49) and 1 coat of clear (TS-13).

Nice close up of the MOTO GP license showing bike number and race year:

Some shots of the "Marchesini" mag wheels, wrapped in Dunlop rubber (very unique):

Interestingly, the Yamaha's also use Marchesini wheels:

    That "raced look"
